Mrs. J. Lester Burke entered George Washington U. Hospital last week where she remains a patient.
Mrs. N. R. Neblett of Smithfield was an overnight guest Wednesday of her brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Palmer at Scuffle Hill.
Mr. and Mrs. Field Benton and son Hugh of Middlesboro, Ky. are spending this week at their home Ivy Oak in the Gid Brown Hollow. The Bentons are moving the end of this month to Fort Smith, Arkansas where Mr. Benton will assume duties as Superintendent of a National Park in that area.
A family picnic supper was held Sunday at the home of Judge and Mrs. B.M. Miller at their home on Mt. Salem Avenue. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Field Benton and son Hugh, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Johnson, Mark, Kevin, Lisa and Eric Johnson and Miss Joan Martin, all of Luray, Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Estes, Mr. and Mrs. C.K. Estes, Kim and Ken Estes, of Sperryville.
