Slate Mills Area
Homemakers to Meet
Plans are being made for the organization of a Homemakers Club in the Slate Mills and Boston areas. Groundwork was laid last week as Miss Judy Burtner, Home Agent, Economics in Rappahannock County accompanied by Mrs. Alice Dorsey of Boston, visited homes in that area.
A meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Norman Wilbur at Slate Mills, All interested ladies in the area are urged to attend.
Art* Sc Craft* Meet 24th
The Rappahannock Arts and Crafts Group met at Cab-Inn, Tuesday, June 10, with seven members present. Sketching was postponed because of rain.
On June 24 the Group will assemble at Cab-Inn at 10 a m. and go from there to sketch, weather permitting. Children are welcome to join the group. Bring you own picnic lunch.
