Climbing the ladder of success - A communications tower was erected at Rappahannock Farmers’ Co-Op in Sperryville Tuesday. The structure is more than 130 feet in height and was erected by the Bay Tower Corp. of Norfolk. Joe Hightower (that’s really his name) is seen on his lofty perch as a segment of the tower is hoisted to him. Working with him were Wayne Rusbuldt (pronounced Rusbolt) and Peter Duda. The tower is set in concrete and composed of 20 foot sections with an antenna on top. By the day’s end and completion of the work, the workmen had accumulated quite a gallery of viewers, all complaining of a pain in the neck.
