Adult Education
Program Continues
The fourth year of Adult Basic Education classes will begin in Warren and Rappahannock Counties this fall. Registration is set folr September 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Warren County High School for Warren County Residents and at Rappahannock County High School for Rappahannock County Residents.
Eligibility for the classes will be limited to those persons who are 18 years old and older and did not go beyond the eighth grade and who are not enrolled in a secondary school. Especially designed teaching materials will be used to teach adults reading, writing, and arithmetic. Classes will meet twice a week from 7:00-9:30 p.m. and will be limited to 15 students per class.
There is no charge to the adult student, the entire cost is financed by local, state, and federal governments.
The program will be under the supervision of Robert R. Long. Mr. Long asked that all interested adults attend the first class meeting in their respective county or contact him at Warren County High School (635-4144) for more details Mr. Long urges all residents of Warren and Rappahannock Counties to assist In, reaching those adults who could benefit from such a program.
