To the Editor:
On July 1 of this year the Senior Center opened its doors to all residents of, and visitors to, Culpeper who are 55 or over, and their friends who might not technically qualify in that respect. The Center is equipped with comfortable easy chairs, davenports, game tables and chairs, newspapers, magazines, and possibilities for coffee and refreshments. On Thursdays and Fridays, we . often have, a table or two of games in the afternoon. The hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a host or hostess is here to greet you five days a week, Monday through Friday. It has occurred to us that there may often be fellow citizens from Rappahannock County who find themselves in Culpeper for a few hours’ shopping or business and may wish to relax for a short time. We extend a very cordial invitation to you all to visit with us. You will see our open door with a large sign “CULPEPER SENIOR CENTER” - the building is the old Culpeper Baptist Church, comer of East and Davis Streets.

The Rev. and Mrs. William M. Hargett of Washington, Va. announce the birth of a daughter Katherine Ann, September 2, 1970 at the Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal. The Hargett’s have three other daughters.
Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William F. Kell of Millville, N. J. Mr. John Murray of Cleveland, Ohio is the paternal great-grandfather.
