4-H Fair Draws

On Wednesday, August 26, a one day 4-H Fun Fair was held at the Flint Hill Fire Hall. There was an excellent display of 250 different items that the 4-H’ers had made. Miss Brenda Printz entertained with songs during the afternoon.

At 5:30 p.m., 224 ribbons were awarded to 31 different exhibitors; 59 blue ribbons, 98 red ribbons, 54 white ribbons, and 13 champion ribbons. The champion winners were Wire Sculpture (Necklace) • Brenda Lawrence, (Ring) Bridget Brown, (Bracelet) - Bridget Brown, (Miscellaneous) - Donna Stover; Tye-Dying - Charla Sisk; Foil Antiquing - Faye Burner; Bookends - Diane Williams; String Pictures - Roberta Harrison; Baking - Faye Burner; Wall Hangings - Debbie Jeffries; Straw Drawings - Judy Brown; Clothing - Faye Burner; Miscellaneous - Bridget Brown.

After the presentation of awards, a covered dish picnic was held for approximately 40 4-H’ers and their parents.

The exhibits were open to the public from 1 p.m.-9 p.m. that afternoon and approximately 75 people attended. The Extension Office would like to thank the 4-H’ers fof their excellent participation and also the mothers from each community
