Library Lines
The program presented at the Library last Friday by Mr. Philip L. Thornton, III drew a very good crowd, and proved unusually interesting. In addition to Mr. Thornton’s slides of scenes in Vietnam and Thailand, he presented a U.S. Navy sound film covering the expedition to the South Pole. The drama, tragedy, and triumph of man’s efforts were effectively portrayed, and held every one’s tense attention. The Library Board expresses its thanks to Mr. Thornton for a fine evening of information and entertainment, the fourth in the series. The next program will be presented on September 25-watch for future announcements of subject and speaker.
