Mr. and Mrs. William M. Carrigan extend a cordial invitation to the people of Rappahannock to share with them an evening of celebration on Independence Day, July 4th, 1971 at Avon Hall, Washington, Virginia.
Luminaries, displays, exhibits and rocket fireworks will be shown on the grounds around Avon Lake, beginning about 7:00 o’clock p.m. Fireworks display will begin about 9:00 p.m. Loud speakers stationed about the grounds will pipe band music to all areas throughout the evening.
