Robin Estes has acted as Honorary Fire Chief for Washington, Va. Fire Department for the past year. She received the title last June in connection with the annual carnival and has acted in this capacity since. She has attended and participated in parades and festivals throughout the northern Virginia area and received six first place trophies, one second place and one third. She relinquished her title Friday to Judy Alther. Robin is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Estes of Washington and the granddaughter of Mrs. Bertha Armel, also of Washington, who is active in the fire company and rescue squad here.
