Judy Alther, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Alther of Washington, was named Honorary Fire Chief at festivities Friday night in connection with the annual Washington firemens carnival. She received a crystal tiara and gifts in a ceremony held during the carnival Friday and will act for the coming year as Chief. Sarah Clark and Debbie Smoot were runners-up.
