Chalk up Two Wins
The Pee Wee ball team sponsored by the Amissville Run tan Club has chalked up two wins since last week. Thursday night they defeated Upperville 14-4 and Monday night Remington was downed 30-1. In Thursday’s game Mike Smoot was on the mound for Amissville. He allowed one earned run and struck out 11. At bat Mike homered and hit a double. Wilbur Glascock pitched the game with Remington, striking out 10 batters and slamming a home run and 2 singles himself. In this game Curt Siks and Mike Smoot came up with home runs also, and the entire team was in good batting condition. The Pee Wees will travel to The Plains for a game Thursday and following that there will be four home games on ensuing Mondays and Thursdays.
