Summer Program
For First Graders
A Title I Summer Program will be held for all children in Rappahannock County entering first grade in the fall for the first time. The program will run from July 5-July 29, 1971 at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Transportation along main rou'es will be provided. A schedule of bus routes will be published later Ii children plan to attend this program and have not preregistered it is important that such registration take place as soon as possible. Registration will take place at Rappahannock County Elementary School between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m daily.
Carnival Parade and
Prize Winners
The weather relented and the sun appeared in time Thursday evening for the parade sponsored by the Washington Fire Company and Rappahannock Rescue Squad to get under way. Results of judging were: Pumper over 500 gpm, Front Royal first and Marshall, second; under 500 gpm pumper, Manassas Park, first and Brandy Station second.
