Aids Celebration
James F. Massie, President of the Rappahannock County Historical Society, appointed Ian Pryde as chairman of a 4th of July committee and Dr. and Mrs. R. B. Allen to assist in gathering a few historical displays and live programs to be presented in connection with the evening program at Avon Hall. It was first planned to have an “Old Time” parade following the Library program. This has been changed to provide a few interesting exhibits of old equipment and some live demonstrations around the lake at Avon Hall in the evening.
