A single vehicle crash in which one person was killed and a rash ol accidents of various degrees have taken place on Rappahannock roads and highways in the past week.
Kermit Corrigan Wallace of Woodville became the fourth fatal traffic victim in Rappahannock County this year when he was involved in a single vehicle crash near Woodville Saturday night. Wallace was driving a 1969 Chevy II which crashed head-on into a bank 1.3 miles south of Woodville on Route 522 at 11:20 p.m., according to Trooper J. B. Willis. The vehicle ran off the right of the highway, back across to the left and plunged into the bank at the roadside. Wallace was serving with the U. S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was on leave here for the funeral of his father-in-law. See Obituary inside.
