Recently the Christmas Seal Chairmen in the eight county area of the Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease Association of Northern Virginia met in Front Royal to learn of their responsibilities as local Chairmen.
From the Rappahannock Gounty area was Mrs. Earl Edrponds Chairman. They learned that the funds provided by the use of Christmas Seals are used to hfelp finance education of 21 applicants for nursing training, for t^o students of inhalation thereapy at Shenandoah College and the Winchester Memorial Hospital, for providing skin testing and x-ray surveys of school ptersognelyg ?jfojr distributing (Jbildren^s^flaalfih Adventures to the elementary students in the eijght counties of Northern Virginia, for providing instructional material to hospital staff personnel, for assisting in Rrovidiing special project funds to increase the number of resident physicians in internal medicine at the University of Virginia Hospital with their special training at Blue
