There will be a Bake Sale Saturday, July 24, starting at 10 a.m. at the Washington Cash Store. The proceeds will be for the benefit of the Washington Volunteer Fire Department. Midget* Win Third Season Game
The Amissville Midget little leaguers took their third win of the baseball season Tuesday night in a return game with Vint Hill. Final score was 23-8 and Graham Farley smashed a home run. Amissville got 25 hits.
The final season game will be played at Remington Thursday beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Cheater Gap Homecoming
The Annual Homecoming at Chester Gap Baptist Church will be held Sunday, August 1. Speaker of the day will be the Rev. Ralph Rasberry, a former pastor of the church. Everyone is invited to attend. Lunch will be served at 1:15 p.m.
