Virginia. He is very active and popular as a speaker to young people. He is the son of The Reverend Churchill J. Gibson, Sr., who served churches in Page County prior to World War I. The Reverend Gibson graduated from the University of Virginia in 1953 and Virginia Seminary in 1956. He served as Minister of St. Martin’s Church in TriangleQuantico, Virginia from 1956 to 1962. There will be a Carillon Recital at 7:30 p.m., Charles Chapman, Carillonneur. The Sunset Vesper Program will begin at 8 p.m. The Chevy Chase United Methodist Church Choir from Chevy Chase, Md., under the direction of Edwin Earle Ferguson, will present the musical portion of the program. The Reverend Jennings W. Hobson and the Reverend Dwight Duncan, both of Luray will be the program leaders for the evening.
In the event of rain, the service will be held at the Luray United Methodist Church.
