Committees Elected
Results of the election of ASC community committeemen for 1972 in Rappahannock County were announced today by H. S. Barksdale, Chairman of the Rappahannock County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation (ASC) Committee.
Farmers elected to the committees include:
South Community: Raymond Johnson, Chairman, Earl J. Kilby, Vice Chairman, Thomas R. Raylor, Regular Member, James Ashby, 1st Alternate, and Marvin Dodson, 2nd Alternate.
Central Community: Thomas Lee, Chairman, W. A. Miller, Vice Chairman, Thomas B. Massie, Regular Member, A. H. Keyser, 1st Alternate, and E. J. Welch, 2nd Alternate.
North Community: James F. Massie, Chairman, W. G. Eastham, Vice Chairman, John A. Tapp, Regular Member, I. L. Parrish, 1st Alternate, and Roland Welch, 2nd Alternate. The ASC community committee chairman, vice-chairman, and third regular member automatically become delegates to the county convention, where farmers are elected to fill vacancies on the County Committee. Alternate community committeemen become alternate delegates to the convention. The County Convention will be held December 13, 1972 at the County ASCS Office. After the county committeemen are elected, the delegates determine which of the regular committeemen will serve as committee chairman and vice chairman for the coming year.
