While the fees of many other doctors, in pace with other rising living costs, have mounted for office visits to $5. to $10 in rural areas and even higher in cities, Dr. Snead’s remained so low that new patients from city areas could not believe it; more, I am told that patients in dire circumstances were not billed at all. After decades of tireless service to the medical needs of the community, Dr. Snead has well earned his retirement; let us all wish him well, and express our gratitude for having had this kindly, very wise, very understanding and very able old-fashioned country doctor in our community for so many years.
