Commissioner Vern L. Hill of the Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles announced to* day that the Information Systems Administration within the Division is beginning the annual update of vehicle owners’ names and addresses. Commissioner Hill reminds Virginians that the 1972 renewal of vehicle license plates is, by present legislation, on an annual basis, to be accomplished between March 15 and April 15.
To insure that each vehicle owner will receive his application for renewal in time to buy the 1972 plates, it is most important that the electronic data records at the Central Office in Richmond be updated beginning this week. If you have moved since receiving your current vehicle registration card, write the Division immediately as it is necessary for the DMV to start printing the 2.6 million renewal applications for 1972 license plates on December 1, 1971.
