Mr. and Mrs. Erser R. Dodson of Sperryville announce the engagement of their daughter Rebecca Catherine, to Clarence Henry Deal of Sperryville. He is the son of Mrs. Mabel J. Deal of Sperryville and the late Hugh Deal. Miss Dodson is a student at Madison County High School. Mr. Deal is a 1970 graduate of Rappahannock County High School and is employed with the Virginia Department of Highways in Fairfax.

The Choral Society of Culpeper will present a program of Christmas music at the Culpeper County High School auditorium on Monday, December 13, at 8 p.m. Traditional and modern music will be featured, including works of Poulenc, Willan, Merbecke, Lotti, Yon and Dello Joio.
