According to a government tabulation, just released, the number of business firms in Rappahannock County is relatively large. There are more of them, it is shown, than in many communities of its size. * And they have been faring comparatively well, despite the depression, as evidenced by the humber of people they employ and by the size of the payrolls they carry. ; The figures, covering the past year, show a total of 67 business establishments, ranging from small to large, in operation in the local area. This exclusive of those that are owner-operated and have jio employees. J The findings are contained in a Study entitled “County Business Patterns,” prepared by the Census Bureau from data gathered by the Department of Health, Education And Welfare.
