By Bob Weakley December 7 marked the start of the Rappahannock Panthers basketball season, when the Panthers played host to the Luray Bulldogs. The Panthers played a hard and good game, but not quite good enough to stop the Bulldogs, as they took both Jr. Varsity and Varsity games. The J. V. game was very close, and Rappahannock fought to the final second. They played excellent defense and offense but, due to the height advantage that Luray had, they won over Rappahannock with a score of 40 to 36. High scorer of the game was Eddie Williams of Rappahannock with 17 points.
