A CLOSE race, one way or the other, is being predicted in the Seventh Congressional contest which will be decided at the polls next Tuesday, and if the rest of the county’s in the sprawling district are like Rappahannock, then the predictions are accurate.
Incumbent Republican Representative J. Kenneth Robinson undoubtedly has a lot of support in Rappahannock. He’s conservative, and so are many county citizens; lie’s an apple grower, and that means something in an applegrowing county; he’s the officeholder, and that has traditionally teen an advantage. He started off, according to some estimates, as a two-to-one favorite in the District as a whole. .
