Mr. Robinson, our Seventh Dis' trict Congressman, came to the County last week offering himself for re-election. He extended an invitation through your paper for voters to talk to him on the Court House lawn.
Your delightful picture of loyal Republicans' covered to the full extent his county sponsors but the local grapevine has interpreted and reinterpreted my remarks. Since this has been the case, I would appreciate an opportunity to "tell it like it was."
I spoke to Mr. Robinson and told him that although I had always liked him personally "'that his Congressional voting record was the direct opposite of what 1 expected of .my Congressman and in my opinion could hardly be worse. I went on to say that if he was reelected, I hoped his voting record would improve.
He did not inquire as to what I meant but in fairness to him
