TWO RAPPAHANNOCK residents were among those who have received awards from the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District at the annual dinner meeting leld Thursday evening at Graves Lodge, Syria, Conservation awards went to Capt. William Keim and James F. Massie, both of Amissirille.
Capt. Keim was cited for wildlife conservation and his certificate of recognition was presented ay Robert P. Anderson while H.S. Barksdale made the award to Mr. Massie. Mr. Barksdale and Mr. \nderson are Rappahannock Directors for the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District.
Others to receive awards were John H. Boldridge of Culpeper Lounty; the Orange County Ecology Llub; Henry D. Aylor of Madison and a special award was given L.W. Kipps who retired as a director after many, many years on die board.
MR. AND MRS. James F. Massie awn a 757-acre farm on which they raise beef cattle, horses and hogs, rhey have approximately 120 cows, 8 horses and 8 brood sows. A farm aond has been constructed and about 10,000 feet of tile drainage installed in bottom land at Meadow Grove.
