There were teenagers and octogenarians; there was Gilliam’s former Democratic opponent (Chuck Mottley), and incumbent Rappahannock County office-holders like Supervisor Pete Luke and Commonwealth’s Attorney George Davis. There were even a few people from Culpeper and from “over the mountain” at Luray.
