There are some important events coming up in the near future that you might want to make note of...first, this Saturday, November 2nd, is the Skyline District Cross Country meet which will begin at 10:30 at Blue Rock Farm across from the high school...next Saturday, the ninth, is the date of the State Cross Country meet, which will be held at Williamsburg...and last but certainly not least—There Will Be No School This Friday!
The Girl’s Basketball season came to a close last Thursday and although they didn’t end the season with a victory they put forth a great effort in a fast moving game with Madison.
Boy’s basketball season will begin soon; practice starts November 4th.

Mrs. John S. Browning entertained the Flint Hill Bridge Club Monday night. She had as her guests Mrs. Earl Edmonds, Mrs. Edwin Eastham III, Mrs. B.J. Wood, Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. W.A. Moore. Mrs. G.W. Smith, .lr.. Mrs Thomas Massie, Mrs. T.L. Eastham and Mrs. james Massie. Mrs. Edmonds, Mrs. W.A. Moore, Mrs. Louis Moore, Jr. and Mrs. Tom Massie were awarded prizes.□
