Mr. and Mrs. Prentiss Morris in Waldorf, Md. Rocky, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Morris, came home from Winchester Hospital Monday after a week’s stay. Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Williams visited their daughter, Cynthia, a patient in the Winchester Hospital. Visitors during the holiday weekend in the P.F. Moore home included Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schilz of Alexandria, Mrs. S.M. Shelton of Arlington, Mrs. Margaret Cain, and Mrs. Becky Fox. The Chester Gap 4-H Club will meet Wednesday, November 6, at 4:15 p.m. in the fire hall. Mr. Kenyon, Game Warden of Rappahannock, will talk to the boys on hunting, while the girls make place mats and napkin holders.□
Dedication service
A special service of dedication was held Sunday at Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington when brass candlesticks given in memory of Mrs. C.J. Miller by Mr. Miller were dedicated. The Rev. Charles F. Glaenzer of Highland Springs officiated. The morning worship was conducted by the Rev. Jennings Hobson.
Present for the service were Mr. Miller’s daughters, Mrs. Stephen Vaughan of West Simsburg, Conn, and Mrs. John Wood of Atlanta, Ga. and Mrs. Wood.D
Wakefield’s
honor roll
Wakefield Country Day School has announced the academic honor roll for the first grading period which just ended.
First honors went to David Graham of Markham, Bobby Gehringer and Diane Lawty, both Front Royal, Janet Wayland, Warrenton, Sean Marsh and William Warshauer of Woodville.
Second honors included Tara Welt, Doug Voeks and Tara Labovitz, all of Washington, Va.; Chris Puray and Kirk Marshall, Front Royal and Cindy Fritter, Strasburg.
Included in third honors were Lauri Hawkins, Sharon Strecky, Susan Kincer, Darlene Lawty and Dayton Ward, all Front Royal and Jamie Dawson, Huntly.D
