Dorothy Spicer
Dorothy Russell Spicer, 64, of Castleton died Tuesday, October 29, 1974 in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Charles Lewis Spicer and &rdena Sarah Courtney Spicer. She was a school teacher and tiad been employed in this profession for 45 years. She planned to retire this year. She also taught Sunday School at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church where she was a member.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Bowls of Oxon Hill, Md., Mrs. Ella Wattersonof Morningside, Md., Mrs. Clarence Hale of Washington, D.C.andMrs. Ethel Grammer of Roanoke; a brother, Charles E. Spicer of Castleton; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Geest Funeral Home Chapel, Culpeper conducted by the Rev. John McKay. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper.
