But, at the same time, it’s our feeling that nothing is more presumptuous than a newspaper advising its readers about a choice involving such things as party preferences and personalities. The voter’s choice is as valid as ours.

HAVING said that, it should be emphasized that a voter’s preferences go for naught unless translated into an actual trip to the ballot box, and actually voting. Talking about it won’t do a bit of good, except maybe therapeutically; writing letters-to-the-editor won’t do the job. Voting is the way to help the candidate you prefer, or decide an issue the way you want it decided.
