Coach Preston Douglas says the basketball clinic for boys in the 4th through 7th grades is doing well. The sessions take place every Saturday from ten o’clock til noon. The first half hour consists of practicing fundamentals and the rest of the time the boys split up and play against each other in organized games. Any parents are welcome to come watch them play.
The S.C.A. is still working on its spirit improvement campaign and things are looking good. Hallways appear neater and so is the lunchroom area. Some students have taken the time to put up some really nice posters reflecting school pride and spirit. Others have been volunteering to do morning announcements. It’s a good start and Mr. Wingfield wishes to express his appreciation to those who have taken the time to show concern by doing something. It’s a good start,let’s keep it up!
Don’t forget—Thursday will be our Panthers last basketball game for the season. The game is at William Monroe High School. The JV game begins at 6:30. I’m sure all the Panthers would appreciate your support—so, if you can, come oh out. □
