IT WOULD appear to me that if every person who had an automobile liability insurance policy was required to carry medical payments coverage in that policy that this would amount to no-fault for people who have insurance. Medical payments coverage in your policy pays you up to a certain amount of money for injuries you receive in an automobile accident regardless of whether or not you were at fault.

If the law were changed to also provide that any payments made by your company to you would entitle your company to recover the same amount from the party who was at fault in the accident or to recover that amount from you if you sued and recovered from the party at fault in the accident, then this would be a very substantial discouragement for litigation in lesser personal
