The annual Rappahannock Hunt Point-to-Point will be Saturday, March 1, at Thornton Hill farm near Sperryville, and Ardoth Bendlage, publicity chairman, says the Race Committee is already busy making arrangements. Food will be supplied by a local church and in case of snow and mud, tractors will be available to help pull out cars. Race entries are expected from Virginia .and other states, Bendlage said.
He noted that in 1958 the race committee cleared snow away from the jumps ten days before the races so that the ground would have time to dry out. The Race Committee is prepared to get out the bulldozers and do the same thing to insure a good footing in 1975, if they have to, Bendlage said.n
