ALTHOUGH the Williams had requested a rezoning and an exception to the subdivision ordinance at the hearing before the Supervisors last week, all they want now is an exception. Most people who spoke during the hearing before the Supervisors favored granting an exception, but not a rezoning. A rezoning would affect the entire ordinance by establishing a precedent, a number of people said. So the Williams heirs had revised their request accordingly, attorney Lea said.
“MY CLIENTS respect the zoning and subdivision ordinances, but they want their birthright,” Lea told the Planning Commissioners.
