Mrs. Bessie Woodward of Sperryville shows the huge tomato plant which she has grown in her yard. The plant is over eight feet tall and has produced some very large tomatoes which Mrs. Woodward has shared with friends. A trip through her garden attested to her green thumb and the fall pumpkin crop assured us there will be plenty for jack-o-lanterns. Mrs. Woodward is 80 years old and does her own canning and preserving.
