The reasonableness of the revenues collected under the surcharge and the reasonableness of the Company’s proposed schedule of tariffs will be the subject of a public bearing scheduled to begin on November 18, 1975. If after hearings and due consideration, the surcharge revenues are determined to be excessive, the excess amount which has been collected will be refunded with 8 percent interest. If the Commission determines a rate increase is needed, the Commission will then order the surcharge terminated and authorize the Company to increase its rates in the amount found just and reasonable.
A copy of the Company’s application, proposed schedules of rates, and the Commission’s order setting tills application for investigation and bearing may be reviewed at the office of the State Corporation Commission, Blanton Building, Richmond, Virginia, or at any office of the Company where bills are paid. The Company has been directed to file with the State Corporation Commission on or be- s fore September 15, 1975, the testimony and exhibits of the witnesses it proposes to offer in support of its application. This material may also be reviewed after that date in the office of the Commission or at the office of the Company where bills are paid.
On or before October 1, 1975, all persons who expect to participate at the public bearing as a protestant, to offer evidence and to cross examine witnesses, must file and serve a Notice of Protest in conformity with the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Commission. All those who desire to receive a copy of the pre-filed testimony and exhibits should so state in their Notices of Protest.
