IN CERTAIN cases, foster children are also eligible for benefits. If a family has foster children living with them and wishes to apply for such meals and milk for them, it should contact the school. In the operation of child feeding programs, no child will be discriminated against because of race, sex, color, or national origin.
Under the provisions of the policy the School Principal will review applications and determine eligibility. If a parent is dissatisfied with the ruling of the official, he may make a request either orally or in writing to’ T. A. Fleetwood, Sperryville, 22740, or call:987-8773, for a hearing to appeal the decision. The policy contains an outline of the hearing procedure.
Each school and the office of the Division Superintendent has a copy of the complete policy which may be reviewed by any interested person.□
