THERE is some progress being made in Piedmont Virginia in rallying an increasing public awareness of the threat development poses to historically valuable agricultural land. Another conference designed to dramatize the danger was held Friday, January 23, in Culpeper, and it was true to form in providing a forum for that curious blend of land use conservatism and radicalism that characterizes current efforts to save the Piedmont for farming.
