Georgia Hufstedler s qualifications, are outstanding and impressive. Mrs. Hufstedler is a graduate of the University of Texas and the daughter and wife of Navy officers. She has lived in many sections of the United States and wherever she has been, she became involved with libraries. When stationed at Pensacola she took her library science course at the University of Florida.
When Capt. Hufstedler was in the Persian Gulf, she worked in the Norfolk City Public Library system and later as Assistant Librarian at the Naval Air Station Library. When the Captain was sent to Panama, she was Post Librarian for the Army at Ft. Amador. Over a period of 15 years while her husband was on duty at the Pentagon, Mrs. Hufstedler worked as a member of the staff of the Arlington County Library System.
