to grow and, as in the past several sessions, there is discussion on providing additional time in session for the legislature: There is considerable dissatisfaction among the membership as to the time available for consideration of this heavy volume of bills.
One proposal has been made to recess the session for the first week in February so far as sessions of the Senate and House are concerned and to use that time for public hearings for the committees. This proposal would extend this session for an additional week and would also provide for the legislature to meet for a two-day session 30 days after the end of the regular session, which would allow an opportunity for overriding vetoes of bills by the Governor. I dpubt if this would be of consequence so far as vetoes are concerned since it takes a two-thirds majority of each house to override a veto. This is unlikely to happen although I do not have any objection to such a short session to give the legislature the opportunity to consider vetoes. My
