Sunday evening, January 18, at a community dinner attended by about 70 in the Chester Gap Fire Hall, Bradley Williams, past president of the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department, was presented with a plaque in appreciation of his long and faithful service from 1964 until 1975. Hubert Gilkey III, the new president of the department, made the presentation and also presented posthumously two plaques honoring the late M.A. Greeley, the first president from the department’s organization in 1959 until his death in 1964, and the late Garfield Williams who was Chief from 1962 until his demise in 1965.
