Hospital. She was a native of Rappahannock, daughter of the late Charles Phillips and Sallie Chunn Phillips.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Henry Johnson; four daughters, Mrs. Sarah Gilbert at home, Mrs. Bertha V. Nickens of Charles Town, W. Va., Mrs. Elizabeth McDaniel of Boyce and Mrs. Edmonia Birdsong of Washington, D. C.; four sons, John Phillips of Baltimore, William Johnson of Washington, D. C., Samuel Johnson of White Post and Walker Johnson of Mt. Vernon, N. Y.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Monday at Guildfield Baptist Church in Clarke County conducted by Eld. George Bailey. Interment was in Little Chapel Cemetery.
