Rappahannock ’ s Bicentennial a - ctivities were initiated Sunday with a tea at Rappahannock Library. Mrs. R. E. Thompson of Sperryville, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, served tea while Mrs. George H. Davis Jr. in costume, was hostess for the occasion.
Mrs. Davis welcomed the group and charted the activities which will occur in Rappahannock in celebration of the nation’s birthday. Among them are a pageant, a ball special church services and candlelight tour of Washington, with many others.
