RAPPAHANNOCK County teachers are asking for a $300 a year salary increase at each pay step for the coming school year, according to Rappahannock Education Association representative, Lynne Baines. At the same time, Superintendent O. A. Norton reported that state money for education to the county will be cut by $74,000, if the formula proposed by Governor Mills Godwin is adopted.
