IT WAS ALSO ANNOUNCED that the annual Point-to-Point Seminar sponsored by the Council will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, January 14, at the Middleburg Community Center. The panel for the seminar will consist of last year’s champions—Patty Cassel, Woman Rider of the Year; Arch Kingsley, Gentleman Rider; Kevin Palmer, winner of the First Colony Trophy; Randy Rouse, winner of the Seven Corners Trophy, and Ridgely White, trainer of Flying Boxcar the Horse of the Year.

Also appearing with the panel members will be William Walsh, a trainer from Pennsylvania, and Edward S. Bonnie, an owner and gentleman rider from Kentucky. Winants will be moderator.

Each year, a member of the steering committee of the Virginia Point-to-Point Council steps down, and is replaced by a new member. The new member this year is Clay T. Brittle, Jr., replacing Rob Palmer, who has served for two years. Other members are Peter Winants, chairman; William Brainard and Arch Kingsley. □
