Crigler noted that any use permit is subject to revocation if the conditions of the permit are not carried out, and he then proceeded to outline the Appeal Board’s own powers.

‘ ‘Is the tract within sight of any of the neighbors?” asked Manwaring, shifting the conversation to another tack.
Mears said it was. Manwaring said the map indicated that any houses were remote from the site. Greene said he’d present a petition later, with 111 signatures, of neighbors who did object.
After more skirmishing on the legal points of whether the Updikes had “standing” to apply for a permit at all, Gardner concluded that “if legal points that can’t be settled here are raised, you can pass on the case to the courts.”
