Congressman J. Kenneth Robinson has stated his opposition to providing $6.5 million for the first year of a new House committee investigation of the John F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King assassinations.
Robinson, only Virginia member of the House Appropriations Committee, termed the prospective request of the Select Committee on Assassinations “very difficult to justify, particularly inasmuch as the sponsors of the inquiry told the House three months ago that it would cost about $500,000.”
