Carder
Mary Ellen Carder, of Culpeper, died December 10, 1976 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Roger and Leslie Whorton Tharpe of Rappahannock and a member of Culpeper Baptist Church. She was also a native of Rappahannock County.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Carder of Culpeper; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Carpenter and Mrs. Mary Catherine Jones, both of Culpeper; a son, Paul Richard Carder of Stafford; four listers, Mrs. Sophis Daniels of Orange, Mrs. Laura Harmon, Mrs. Luemma Fincham and Mrs. CeCile Sloanaker, all of Remington; a brother, Charlie Tharpe of Front Royal and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. John S. Farrar at the Geest Funeral Home Chapel
