Pepperettes were judged best drum and'bugle corps with Red Coats, second.
Washington House' of Reproductions was named the best appearing commercial float with Settle’s Garage, Flint Hill, second. Giles B. Cook Peat S3 of Front Royal was best civic float. Washington Hillbillies were named best comic entry. They were Pam Woodard and Pam Estes.
The Judges award went to the H. D. Woodson school band. Special awards were Girl Scout Troop 547, first and Washington Boy Scouts, second; Fairfax County ambulance, third and Flint Hill Fire Company, fourth.
Country Fair
A Country Fair is scheduled again this year for July 4 in the Town of Washington under the sponsorship of Washington Fire Company.
